In Limerick, GPs benefited from worthwhile talks from Professor Austin Stack, Dr. Lucia Gannon and Dr. Rose Fitzgerald on cardiovascular care, womens’ health and vaccinations. Dr. Emmet Kerin, NAGP President, chaired an energetic discussion on terms and conditions of a new GP contract.
The Hermitage Clinic in Dublin welcomed more than 50 GPs to hear Professor Eoin O’Brien, Dr. Deirdre Lundy and Dr. Ruth McDermott speak. Dr. Andrew Jordan, NAGP Chairman was on hand to chair the discussion on a new GP contract which has provided the NAGP with significant insight going into the upcoming negotiations.
At both events, delegates were provided with a chance to find out more about GP Online, the NAGP’s video health and cloud-based practice management system (PMS) which will soon be piloted by members. There was considerable interest in the new PMS which will offer a cost-effective and easy to use system for GPs to manage patient records and other administrative tasks.
The meetings continue nationwide and all GPs are invited to attend. Attendance will earn delegates 3 CPD credits and a ½ day GMS study leave.
