GPs and their local representatives are being invited to come together to discuss the serious issues facing general practice in Ireland.

Following on from the successful GP meetings held in Cork, Limerick, Tralee and Galway in recent weeks, similar meetings have been organised for the West, North West and East Coast regions.

These meetings are for all GPs and are not affiliated to any representative organisation. GPs who are concerned about the future of general practice should attend. TDs and senators will also be attending.

A panel of four GPs will outline the concerns of general practice focusing on three particular areas — best practice, safety and resourcing.

Dr Ed Walsh, founder of the University of Limerick will also be contributing to the discussion at each event.

Local politicians will be invited to contribute and ask questions of the panel and the debate will be opened to the floor.

Please make yourself available on the night and lend your voice to the discussion.
