James Sheehan is keynote speaker for 2014 NAGP AGM in Limerick.

Hospital founder and medtech engineer, James Sheehan has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for this year’s NAGP Annual General Meeting in Limerick.

The event, which will take place in the Strand Hotel, Limerick on November 15th, 2014, follows on the success of our inaugural AGM at the Herbert Park Hotel last November.

A qualified engineer, medical surgeon and orthopaedic consultant, Jimmy Sheehan co-founded private hospitals, the Blackrock Clinic, Galway Clinic and the Hermitage Clinic. He designed the Sheehan knee replacement system in the late 1970s.

After performing some 12,000 knee and hip replacements, Sheehan retired as a surgeon in 2003. He remains actively engaged as executive director of the Galway Clinic.

The other speakers for this year’s AGM have yet to be confirmed.
