On February 14th, the NAGP asked its members ‘Should the NAGP prioritise A) New Contract Negotiations or B)the reversal of FEMPI?’

There was a huge response,  the results of which are now in.

Three out of four GPs want to have FEMPI reversed before negotiating a new contract.

The breakdown of the results are as follows:
55% response rate with:
25% in favour of new contract negotiations
74% in favour of the reversal of FEMPI
1% undecided / spoiled vote

Our members are very supportive of reform.  The NAGP is strongly recommending to the Minister for Health to establish a working group to commence a reversal of the FEMPI cuts to GPs as a matter of urgency.
