Today, 29th November, following an invitation from the Chair of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Health, the NAGP gave a presentation and partook in a Q & A session with the committee at Leinster House. The NAGP were represented by Dr Emmet Kerin, Dr Ronan Fawsitt, Dr Mary Flynn and Dr Maitiu O’Tuathail.

Following an opening statement by NAGP President, Dr Emmet Kerin, there was an opportunity for committee members to ask questions of  the NAGP panel in what was an hour long session. There was a strong contribution from the NAGP panel on the topic which focused on the need for a new GMS contract as the next step in the evolution of Primary Care as envisioned by the Slaintecare report and the perspective of GP trainees.

You can find a webcast of the session at the following link www.oireachtas.ie
